Laser triangulation is a proven method for precise distance measurement using angle calculation. In measurement technology, a laser point is projected onto the measurement object by a sensor. Depending on the distance, the reflected light hits a receiving element at a specific angle. The sensor calculates the distance to the object being measured based on the position of the light spot on the receiving element and the distance between the transmitter and receiver. This technology enables reliable and accurate measurement, ideal for industrial applications where precision is critical.
The laser triangulation sensors in the LTG product family offer precise, micrometer-accurate distance measurements and are designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
